I'd like to help improve this article by providing a source or verification for the claim that the Act is the only statute in US history that grants natural born citizen status. I am a complete novice with regard to citation. I am most concerned as to what is the Wiki standard to show that something is singular/unique? I'd also like to expand the discussion of the radical nature of this Act with regard to the same topic: This act was passed by the framers of the Constitution, signed by John Adams and George Washington, and said, in effect, that place of birth does not affect natural born citizenship. I think this is a 'from the horse's mouth' insight into what the framers considered to be a natural born citizen - until the Act repealed and the natural born citizen status for children born beyond the sea was changed to citizen by the NA1795.Atozxrod (talk) 15:01, 22 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
