Nautilus is extremely notable historical software. In the field of cryptography and the culture of cypherpunks and other internet civil rights groups it was one of the pioneering programs created to counteract movements by various governments to outlaw strong encryption. Because of advances in technology, even though it is available today, it is not frequently used, but it still performed an important role in shaping the internet.
