School league table[edit]

I removed the 'league table' of school results because Estyn doesn't inspect schools annually, so the exam results cited won't necessarily be directly comparable. People may be aware that since 2001, the Assembly Government hasn't published individual school performance information.[1] Information on individual schools is still available in prospectuses and governors’ annual reports, but adding them all together to produce a local league table may violate WP:SYNTH. Population[edit]

Talbot is larger then Neath. 36k to 19k? Explain how Neath is larger despite obviously smaller compared to Port Talbot? RailwayJG (talk) 17:07, 4 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

If they just put Port Talbot as largest town it be no issue they are two separate towns obviously but one unitary authority. Physical size would likely mention all the nearby towns and villages in the unitary RailwayJG (talk) 10:59, 5 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Neath is a larger town by population than Port Talbot. The 36K TO 19K stated above is misleading. The useful ONS data for the population of a town is given as parishes and built up areas. If we consider the population of the parishes of Neath and Port Talbot, Then Neath has a population of 19,258 and Port Talbot 5,641. If we consider the population of the built up areas of Neath and Port Talbot, Then Neath has a population of 50,658 and Port Talbot 37,276.
