Theft charge and jail time[edit]

Someone seems to be whitewashing this page - it keeps losing references to Skalbania's theft charge and jail time. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.49.146.5 (talk) 12:47, 23 August 2009 (UTC) It keeps losing those references because there was no jail time, you anonymous troll! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Amurri (talkcontribs) 18:38, 9 September 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The truth is there was jail time. As the CBC news clearly states. Trying to pretend this didn't happen will simply not work. Calling names doesn't alter the truth. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Wallding contribs 13:48, 10 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Skalbania was sentenced to one year in jail for fraud, which, on appeal, became a year of electronic monitoring. The company through which he had perpetrated that fraud was, according to records, owned by our un-friendly saboteur, 50.64.109.208, his daughter (or someone posing as her), Rozanda, based on their editing notation here of September 12th: "Mr. Skalbania has not ever gone bankrupt nor been in jail!!!!! Rozanda Skalbania, Daughter," whose total edits consist of five on Skalbania's page, September 12th. I've researched this guy quite a bit, since noticing the shocking absence of his name from the Oilers' history a while back. (Shocking because any Gretzky fan read about his many business exploits during their heydays. He and Pocklington were legend, but only Skalbania could steal a headline from Gretzky back then.) I had updated the Oilers page, but had not yet got around to updating this page. Now, while I endeavor to a NPOV, I'm quite sure that she will like it far less after prompting my return. Just the facts, Ma'am, if you are reading, will last on Wikipedia. This page may require protection to prevent further vandalism by those devoid of WP:NPOV.
