Title of article[edit]
If "Nemacolin's Trail" is the more common version of the name, why was the article named "Nemacolin's Path"? I rewrote the lead with the more common name first.Parkwells (talk) 18:33, 26 June 2010 (UTC)
How convenient was Nemacolin's Path in the late 1700s?[edit]
"Except for using the Cumberland Narrows, travelers would have to go hundreds of miles to the north or south to get through the mountains." Actually the Forbes Road, built in 1758 to connect Philadelphia with the Ohio Forks (now Pittsburgh), which negotiated the same ridges as Nemacolin's Path, passed through Bedford PA, a mere 28 miles NNW of the Cumberland Gap. Which is the more convenient way to Pittsburgh? It depends on whether you're coming from Alexandria or Philadelphia. Webrobate (talk) 07:38, 18 October 2019 (UTC)
