This article is written from the LDS point of view and does not take into account views of non-Mormon scholarship, which does not view this figure as historical. See Book of Mormon, which shows how an NPOV on a subject like this can be achieved. source for future editing[edit]

I've been doing research for improving the Book of Helaman page. I found this article on Nephi's vision of Jesus in a book. I should note that this particular collection of essays is uneven, but Andrew Skinner has a PhD and his writing here is academic, so I think it is a reliable source for interpretation of Nephi's experience (attributed in-text). The publications in Book of Mormon studies from the 1990s are nascent, and still developing the field, so don't end your research here. Rachel Helps (BYU) (talk) 16:41, 24 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
