Hi, I work for a communications firm that represents NetApp and I’d like to suggest a few updates to this article:
- I have some suggested improvements for the lead and History sections, which I’ve drafted up in my sandbox here. This includes these changes:
- Added sources and detail to the lead.
- Moved the items in the "Controversy" section into the "History" section, per the "Article structure" section of WP:NPOV.
- Added two major acquisitions, SteelStore and SolidFire, along with sources.
- I suggest that we remove the "Further reading" section entirely, since it's so brief and outdated.
- Updated 2015 financial data (for the infobox) is as follows:
- I'd suggest that in the infobox, we update the industry from "Data storage devices" to "Data storage and management," since NetApp sells more than just hardware.
- I suggest that we remove Dan Warmenhoven from the "Notable persons" section of the infobox — he retired from the Board of Directors in 2014.[2]
