Talk:Network traffic control

I have, sort of, reverted the replacement of this page with redirection to Scheduling (computing), and made a start on improving it a bit. This is simply because network traffic control is clearly an entirely different kettle of fish to scheduling, and the uses and algorithms employed are quite different. It now, mostly points at the two types of traffic control, policing and shaping, and says little else. However, it's a bit more than disambiguation, as both are relevant, not one or t'other.

I will try to get around to improving this further myself, as time permits, but right now I've a leaky bucket traffic policing algorithm to implement in VHDL. Where is Handle C when I need it? Graham.Fountain | Talk 13:52, 25 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]
