There is a separate article for Harlansburg, Pennsylvania, which I think is part of New Castle, Pennsylvania. I do not think that the two articles need to be merged, though. --TruthbringerToronto (Talk | contribs) 22:38, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lawrence County Map[edit]

The position of New Castle on the map is wrong. It's in the upper middle of Lawrence County, not the southeast corner near Ellwood City. Can someone fix this please? Thanks! Jgera5 (talk) 02:00, 29 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Nickname[edit]

I am New Castle native and never heard or read the nickname "Little New York"Robertwalton (talk) 19:46, 8 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have never heard of that nickname either. Can someone explain that please? Wikinator3000 (talk) 02:11, 7 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Is it possible that "Little New York" originated in New Castles peak ((40,000 something population))? My grandmother always told me that when the parking garage went up, that was really something. We had a lot of cab drivers too. That, at night the place was lit up like New York City. We have some interesting yet old apartment buildings that I like to call "Row Houses" that New York may have used before too. Some astounding architecture. So, I believe it was an old nickname, but we don't take it anymore due to New Castles deterioration. Just a thought.

Notable Residents[edit]

Over half of the Notable Residents are notable for because of sporting achievements. Sports are, of course, wonderful...but isn't it likely that New Castle can also point to many Notable Residents in the fields of business, arts, public service, etc...?
