This page should not exist. There is no school of thought or theory (as far as I know) called 'New Economics'. The only reason this page exists is that when various editors were involved in creating New classical macroeconomics, someone created this page. I attempted to delete it, but did it incorrectly according to Wiki standards, and a discussion ensued, in which it was decided (by noneconomists, I think) that this should be turned into a redirect page for some economic theories with 'New' in the title. --Rinconsoleao (talk) 17:36, 7 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

New Economics is a school of thought although the name is relatively recent it is founded on several prominent ideas and organizations. For example the New Economics Foundation located in the UK and the New Economics Institute , the New Economy Network, and the Institute for New Economic Thinking in the United States. If this does not constitute an school of thought then I do not know what does. I am new to wikipeadia and would like to work on the page for New Economics and would appreciate any help from those who have more experience. Kornbluh (talk) 16:53, 17 July 2012 (UTC)[reply]
