NSW Swifts/Sydney Swifts[edit]

I am concerned about the recent edits by NettyHistory101 for the following reason.

  • The introductions reads like it was written by a Swifts fan. It is not neutral in tone. It is sloppy and does not reach encyclopedic standard.
  • There is already a separate Sydney Swifts article. There is no need for excessive info about Sydney Swifts at the New South Wales Swifts article. This is in line with the NSW Swifts website which has a separate section dedicated to the Sydney Swifts.
  • The following claim is not true – "They are the only franchise to have won Premierships in all editions of Australia's National Netball League: CBT (1997-2007), ANZC (2008-2016) and SSN (2017-present)." If you claim that Sydney Swifts/NSW Swifts are the same franchise because they were both formed by Netball NSW, then so to are Melbourne Phoenix/Melbourne Vixens as they were both formed by Netball Victoria. Phoenix/Vixens have won eight premierships across the same three leagues.
  • The following claims are clearly opinions and not facts
    • "Some of the greatest players in netball history have worn the yellow and red uniforms of the Swifts. Those greats include Liz Ellis, Cath Cox, Laura Langman, Sharni Layton, Kim Green and Susan Pettitt."
    • "It was also huge achievement for the club’s coach over those years, Julie Fitzgerald." Djln (talk) 11:37, 6 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]
