Needs corrections?[edit]

I converted the junction listing to the NYint template, without changing the actual content.

I took a peek at a Google Earth map...I'm not exactly near Utica, but I seem to remember that the western terminus of NY 5A was where the road "crosses" NY 5 and becomes NY 5B (which isn't mentioned in this article right now). And, NY 69 ends at 5A along the route, not at the terminus, so it's not at mile 0.0. Also, I have a feeling the eastern terminus of 5A is the western terminus of I-790...it is definitely the western terminus of 5S. So for now, I'm leaving it alone, but this needs a look. I'm willing to bet that 5B does, also....Fwgoebel 04:29, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The error regarding NY 69 has been rectified. On the other points, the reason that NY 5B is not mentioned is that NY 5A terminates at the intersection of Commercial Drive (NY 5A) and the Seneca Turnpike (NY 5), and NY 5B terminates at the intersection of Middle Settlement Road and the Seneca Turnpike 500 feet to the west - in short, since the exact terminus of the two routes is not identical, NY 5B is not mentioned. Also, the eastern terminus of NY 5A is the western terminus of I-790 - it just wasn't mentioned as such in the article.
