Ticket price, opposition[edit]

It's nice that they have given the trip time, capacity and expected ridership, even the hours of operation and exactly what maintenance plan the yet unbuilt wheel of unprecedented scale will require. It would be nice if the estimated ticket cost were included. I could see this being a huge draw for New York, despite its first impression of gimmickyness. Its surprising it didnt get funded with how bullish they are on the ridership.The community board approved it but I'm sure not everyone on Staten Island will welcome the increased attention. St. George might be the island's effective downtown, but at the end of the day it's still a pretty quiet place overall. I certainly see this as a demanded attraction, even among the overpriced observation decks. B137 (talk) 23:55, 14 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
