Untitled[edit]

Just added the note about the two Auckland MAXX DBR's. Also corrected a typo (?) in the data table, 705kW / 950HP (it was the other way around) and corrected the tractive effort from '1650HP' to 117kN which is the figure given for the DBR on trainweb.org. Withdrawal and Preservation for the DBR'S[edit]

"Hi could you please tell about the withdrawal of the DBR's because someone told me on Kiwi Rail that the DBR's are going to be withdrawn soon someday, please edit a title about it so we can understand, (note I also work at Ferrymead CRS)125.237.80.209 (talk) 00:00, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, this isn't the right place to bring this up as Wikipedia is not a forum. Secondly, I've heard nothing concrete about the withdrawal of the DBRs so take anything with a pinch of salt. pcuser42 (talk) 00:53, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]
I respect your concern, but someone at Ferrymead told me later in Ten years or (we don't know) (I know it is not a forum) they will be the first to go from Kiwi Rail,:125.237.80.209 (talk) 01:35, 28 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Sorry about the edit, but I worte it will remain unknown if any will be saved yet. 203.97.114.146 (talk) 21:35, 18 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Per WP:CRYSTALBALL, we can't include that in articles. pcuser42 (talk) 05:11, 19 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, I see that your've put a section for preservation. I have deleted this has there has been nothing about preservation. Who knows, a few might, a few might not, but its too early to put it up as there as been no talk or sales of them at this point. NZ Rail 150 (talk) 03:50, 19 May 2014 (UTC)NZ Rail 150[reply]

From my standereds John Peterson the Chairman of the NRM wants one but that remains unknown, as of yet, but because no Db's where saved, it is still possible to convert a Dbr back to a Db, 203.97.114.146 (talk) 21:21, 8 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That will never happen, it will cost millions to convert ones. A DB is the same as DBR, whats the point of converting one. So can you please stop. NZ Rail 150 (talk) 03:59, 9 June 2014 (UTC)NZ Rail 150[reply]
A DBR is a rebuilt DB, they're different enough to be classified differently. And on your last sentence, can you please be nice. pcuser42 (talk) 04:15, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I have to say will have to leave the information on about a DBR future, so we must keep it that way but it's your choice, Trooper201 (talk) 08:44, 28 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

DBR's working on the new Wainui Beach Workshops[edit]

As I've just read that the three out of service DBR's (1200, 1282 and 1213) are being moved on the En route to the Gisborne Line and to work in the Wainui Beach Workshops for a election stunt. Which has been making people chat on facebook. Is this true or not? — Preceding unsigned comment added by NZ Rail 150 (talkcontribs) 05:01, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If your sole source is Facebook it's unlikely to be true, and could classify as original research. pcuser42 (talk) 05:37, 18 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Db 1014/1168 in international orange livery[edit]

Wikipedia is not a forum Kaiwhara (talk) 22:22, 7 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I understand this is still no forum but, I have news that Db 1006 was repainted International Orange as 1076 was, I learnt that on Facebook,118.92.236.91 (talk) 09:44, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Facebook is never a reliable source and unable to be cited. It could classify as original research. Kaiwhara (talk) 10:58, 13 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

new roumers[edit]

  • Hi a report from Daniel Garland says the owner whom is Dean McQuoid owner of Da 1429 has got his hands on the other six DBR's after the agreement to sell them to Africa fell through, but I don't think we should add it in just yet until confermation according to Mr Garland, Trooper201 (talk) 09:10, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Wait for a reliable source. pcuser42 (talk) 18:39, 2 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
