some criticism deserves mention?

For some the concept of a "New Economy" is used to describe how some economic rules remain fast and situations that appear to defy them tend to end badly. Pre-Depression references to a permanently high plateau are an example of this -- M0llusk 00:39, 12 July 2006 (UTC)

Balance and references problem

Amazingly, the article has no mention whatsoever of Kevin Kelly and the Wired digerati's influence on this concept. Also, the article is heavily skewed towards presenting a negative critique. Much of the article is poorly referenced (especially the technology section which apparently relies on someone's general vague recall) Bwithh 03:50, 29 November 2006 (UTC)

Added Kevin Kelly. Now at late 2009, I think the article seems balanced.
But please point me to current day New Economy advocators. I wish to give full context to this article. פשוט pashute ♫ (talk) 10:19, 28 August 2009 (UTC)
Amazingly? Can somebody explain exactly how he influenced global economic change? No doubt he's a popular technology journalist with the public, but given he appears to have no economics background, I am skeptical that teams of economists at the Fed, the ECB, &c were turning to him for advice. The first sentence is fuzzy. Too many prepositions. Also, if I knew what I were doing on wikipedia I'd be compelled to include a citation. This is really bad writing and needs improved....and important enough to get straight as there is currently somewhat of a terminology-struggle between various professions regarding "new economy" nomenclature. 71.61.80.237 11:20, 12 October 2007 (UTC)

Citations added. As far as I can see the source of the sentence: "a state of permanent steady growth, low unemployment, and immunity to boom and bust macroeconomic cycles" (a sentence quoted everywhere, in lectures, presentations and blogs from 2001 and on) is from the 91 Newsweek article (but this is a presumption). I linked to the 2001 article which critisized the "new economy". פשוט pashute ♫ (talk) 10:13, 28 August 2009 (UTC)

Foundations for a New Economy

Here we transcribe the whole of Dr Guillermo Sullings' lecture from the Second International Symposium organised by the World Centre of Humanist Studies in the virtually interconnected Parks of Study and Reflection. Sullings, an Argentinean Economist, presented his work in the Punta de Vacas Park of Study and Reflection, Mendoza, Argentina. 19 Dec 2010 Tushar Kansara (talk) 07:48, 27 December 2010 (UTC)tarasnake
