Untitled[edit]

New International Division of Labour (NIDL) is one result of a capitalist and global economy. The phenomenon occurs with developed nations searching for lower cost in the means of production. Developing nation-states who have yet to industrialize and create policies to protect laborers are beneficial to those seeking cheaper means of production. The transfer of economic activity brings attention to another theory, creative destruction. Which seeks to explain the construction or beneficial results of taking away or deconstruction of old mechanisms, jobs, etc...

Developed Nations or the first world tend to reside in the global north while the developing or underdeveloped second and third world are countries of the global south. The developed global north economy and jobs become more specialized with a focus on research and development while transferring its previous economic activities to the global south; industrialization.

@Waffufi: Great start, Mike, but I would like for you to go to the library and check out books and academic articles that can help you in providing useful content to this page. These online sources are okay, but your goal is to bring in peer-reviewed stuff as well. Alfgarciamora (talk) 01:19, 24 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]
