Newport Corporation Tramways - track gauge[edit]

My Great Grandfather was a driver working on Newport Trams and from the photographs that I have seen, the track gauge is clearly not 3ft 6ins. I would suggest that it was most probably the standard gauge of 4ft 8+1⁄2in or 1,435 mm.
