NewzXXX.com[edit]

Please provide references to establish the notability of NEWZXXX.COM. It is not enough to say one specific website is notable, therefore all others maintained by the same webmaster must be equally noteworthy. Wikispan (talk) 18:12, 30 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I just removed it: I followed the link and it's just a link to Newzbin.com, i.e. the information about it being a separate site is fiction and the whole section is misleading, a borderline spam attempt to attract people to the site. I also removed a third link to the site: only one link to the official site's needed unless there are exceptional reasons for others.--JohnBlackburnewordsdeeds 15:27, 9 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

What about money?[edit]

Registrations[edit]

This was removed because it was unsourced and potentially misleading: "On 17 June 2008, new user registration was closed and the site became accessible only to existing members. New members could join only by means of an invitation from an existing member. Existing members had only a limited number of invitations available." In March 2010, Mr. Justice Kitchin said that the site had "a sophisticated and substantial infrastructure and in the region of 700,000 members, though not all premium". Newzbin has a sign up page here (which will be blocked for BT users). Site history - Year of foundation?[edit]

Binsearch.info is a separate site, not affiliated to Newzbin as far as I can tell. There are other Usenet search engines, and they are easily found in a search on the term. Title of judges[edit]

Someone is being a smartass... why are all the judges involved in legal proceedings called "Mr. Justice" as their first name?

If someone's name is John Doe, and they are a court judge, it would be better as "Justice John Doe" with any appropriate initials after his name.

Someone needs to fix this issue, but it won't be me. Just a heads up.

See List of High Court judges of England and Wales, which says "all High Court judges are entitled to the judicial style Mr/Mrs Justice X". Mr Justice Kitchin is used in the sourcing here, The Guardian uses Justice Arnold here. This isn't a mistake, as "Mr Justice" is often used in media coverage, even though it is rather formal. The ruling about the film studios uses the full title "The Honourable Mr Justice Kitchin", which is even more formal.[2]--♦IanMacM♦ (talk to me) 05:33, 11 July 2014 (UTC)[reply]
