Isn't the nghê derived from the Chinese 狻猊?[edit]
I have some skepticism on the origin of con nghê, it doesnt seem likely that con nghê is the "localized mascot of the Kỳ Lân" rather it seems that is derived from the Chinese beast 狻猊. The Vietnamese article also calls it Toan Nghê which is the Sino-Vietnamese pronunciation of 狻猊. Lachy70 (talk) 03:41, 18 January 2023 (UTC)
