Mn State Senator Nick Coleman[edit]

I met Nick at an NCSL meeting in 1977. I was a state Rep in Wisconsin and part of a coalition of Milwaukee Legislators opposed to freeway construction. Coleman was opposed to I35E in St Paul. We agreed that freeways were a rural form that didn't belong in cities. My parents grew up on the East side of St Paul and they noticed the blighting effect that I94 and 35e had on the city. We later talked briefly on the phone on the same subject. I was sad to hear of his death a few years later.
