Legless with feet?[edit]

How can you be born legless but with a foot with two toes?

the foot is attached directly to his pelvis, perhaps. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 184.163.149.163 (talk) 00:30, 14 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to be technical about it, he's not technically limbless. The underdeveloped foot is attached to an underdeveloped leg. 67.233.240.8 (talk) 06:45, 18 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I added Category:Australian amputees. Some people have criticized me for adding pages/categories about congenital amputees into amputee categories, on the grounds that “amputee” means someone whose limb(s) were actually amputated (i.e. the amputation is acquired). No, Category:Australian amputees is fully justified; by common usage, “amputee” includes congenital amputees; see for instance the article Stéphanie Dixon, a Canadian congenial amputee.--Solomonfromfinland (talk) 16:47, 31 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

External links vs references[edit]

I think someone interested in this article would improve it greately by working out which of the external links were used as source material to write this article, and moving them to a new section, References. At the moment the article presents as unsourced.Garrie 00:37, 5 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I changed the heading to "References and External Links". I was the one who put the sources there, and the first link, the one to the homepage, was the only one with no information on it. I didn't separate the sections as there are only 4 links. I hope this helps- CattleGirl talk | sign! 09:15, 15 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Independant relevancy[edit]

Given that all the referecnes to the organisation directly are self-promotion, and the remaining links/sources are about Nick himself, I think WP:N is a good guide in merging. Inspirational as Nick may be, the organisation beyond him is not really notable. Independent sources commenting directly on the organisation would be appreciated. Otherwise, merge it. WikiProject class rating[edit]

This article was automatically assessed because at least one WikiProject had rated the article as start, and the rating on other projects was brought up to start class. BetacommandBot 07:27, 10 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Nickvujicic.jpg[edit]

Image:Nickvujicic.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Ah.. citation?[edit]

No citation whatsoever. The whole article is a promo piece. Vapour (talk) 08:43, 29 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Neutrality tags[edit]

There are some comments above about this article being too promotional. Other editors added tags with that concern this month and also over a year ago. What else do we think needs to change to remove the tags? - Owlmonkey (talk) 07:53, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is a lot more detail/depth to incorporate from the four articles cited (No Limbs, No Limits; No arms, no legs -- no worries; Disabilities Week; Limbless Evangelist Preaches Joy In Christ). I suspect this would address the concerns tagged by previous editors. I've done a little in this direction already. Natebailey (talk) 22:11, 31 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

removing the templates (NPOV/tone)[edit]

I think the NPOV/tone templates should be removed, I don't see any POV statements in the article and the tone is fine. Do you think anything else should be fixed before the tags are removed ? --George (talk) 21:37, 4 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Birthplace[edit]

The Daily Mail ref says Melbourne, but the man's own site says Brisbane, so I think Brisbane gets the vote. Springnuts (talk) 13:39, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This edit reverted to wrong info since 12 Jan 2013. I have re-corrected it. New worl (talk) 16:35, 22 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Category intersect[edit]

I added Gérald Métroz ‎to the see alsos. I was surprised to find that there's no category:Motivational speakers with disabilities, this would seem a notable intersect, the only problem being that there is no actual article on the subject. In ictu oculi (talk) 06:24, 28 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Brisbane/Melbourne problem[edit]

Nick's website says he was born in Brisbane. Brisbane belongs to the state of Queensland, not Victoria. Therefore, this sentence is problematic:

"Initially, a Victorian state law prevented Vujicic from attending a mainstream school"

Does it make sense? Did he move to Melbourne from Brisbane, so he went to school in Melbourne (Victoria)? Discuss, please. 118.68.198.251 (talk) 11:34, 23 May 2013 (UTC) Maybe he means Victorian in the historical sense not geographical sense? maybe he is referring to an outdated schooling system? eh? Personal Life[edit]

For some unknown reason, this article is void of a "Personal Life" section re Nick Vujicic. Most important to a reader's interest would be Nick's marriage to his sweetheart, Kanae, and their subsequent children203.168.52.54 (talk) 20:50, 15 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Updated URL to Nick's site HectorDupont (talk) 17:17, 4 March 2016 (UTC)[edit]

Religion: Christian... but...[edit]

what denomination does he adhere to? (And before anyone asks, "non-denominationalism" is a denomination too...)--2001:A61:20F4:7701:A999:B029:E36E:C8A2 (talk) 12:51, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I attempted an answer in the body of the article (section "Beliefs").--2001:A61:20F4:7701:A999:B029:E36E:C8A2 (talk) 13:20, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Not exactly or automatically. "A non-denominational church is a Christian church that holds no connection with the recognized denominations and mainline churches." 2603:6011:9600:52C0:6B89:A4A9:4DF9:ED0A (talk) 19:42, 5 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Pronunciation[edit]

There is a contradiction between /ˈvɔɪtʃɪ/ and VOY-chitch in the lead. I've listened to the referenced Youtube video, he is calling himself definitely correctly Vujičić. Capras Dávid (talk) 14:40, 3 September 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Agreed - it's /ˈvuɪtʃɪtʃ/. I'll change this. — Paul G (talk) 07:09, 10 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]
