Voice acting confirmed?[edit]

I see that we have a new section on the article that says that the characters' actors will be reprising their roles in the game, but I don't see any reference that proves that. At first I thought the game wouldn't have voice acting due to budget constraints, but is this actually happening? Red4Smash (talk) 14:13, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I've removed it, as it's unsourced, and even if it was sourced, we wouldn't list it like that per WP:GAMECRUFT. Sergecross73 msg me 14:56, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
It's quite the opposite, in fact, as at least one actor (Richard Horvitz, voice of Zim), has publicly said the game will NOT feature any VO, much like GameMill's past Nicktoons titles. If someone claims otherwise, they'll need a solid source to prove it. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:15, 28 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It could be possible that voice acting could be added to the game in a future update. Red4Smash (talk) 02:48, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, but right now, there isn't any, and the developer is only considering it for the future without any concrete plans in place. That's already mentioned in the article. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 02:51, 16 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Voice Acting has been confirmed & will be coming / has already come as a free update.

Starting June 6th of 2022, all playable characters will be able to speak in the game.

Some like the SpongeBob characters, Leonardo & Michaelangelo from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, and even Garfield & Jenny from My Life as a Teenage Robot will have their roles reprised by their original / current actors.

While others like April 'O Neil & the Shredder from Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Reptar from Rugrats, & Aang & Toph from Avatar: The Last Airbender will be voiced by different actors.

Other additional features include items.

There are no big publications tackling this topic; though, other internet sites like NintendoLife & NintendoEverything have.

And to add to that, the character voices have recently been showcased in videos on YouTube & other platforms. Trekker-J1 (talk) 22:16, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

We know. It's already cited on the page. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:21, 6 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Remove the following catagory (Avatar: The Last Airbender games), since no Avatar characters have been leaked or officially confirmed for the game at the moment. Speculation is not something to be added to Wikipedia.

Undone. There are no characters yet, but Avatar stages have appeared in the game since the initial unveil. See sources: [1] [2] [3] -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 22:31, 31 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
@ScottishFinnishRadish: Pretty sure you're not allowed to do that right? 2603:7000:1F00:6B91:CCD1:CB8E:B8CA:7A46 (talk) 03:42, 4 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Relation to Nickelodeon Super Brawl[edit]

This game has no relation to the Nickelodeon Super Brawl series of games. The paragraph cited as reference for such is a note of the author and not an official statement from either the developers or publisher of the game. Why is it still being upheld? --201.209.173.110 (talk) 01:57, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Because we have a news article from an approved source that says so. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 04:17, 18 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
The word of an article writer that does not work for any of the companies responsible for the game is not an approved source by any bound of logic. --201.209.173.110 (talk) 01:22, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
What source are we talking about, and do any others replicate it? Sergecross73 msg me 01:34, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl may be the Smash Bros. killer - PC Gamer, a soruce approved as reliable under WP:VG/RS. There's also articles on CBR, which is situationally acceptable by virtue of falling under the Screen Rant banner (which this would qualify as, as the exceptions are related to BLP); and TheGamer, which is listed as "inconclusive". -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 02:30, 22 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I don't particularly see an issue here. Usable sources are saying it and it's not particularly a controversial conclusion to come to really. Sergecross73 msg me 15:02, 23 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

No Xbox One release[edit]

It’s backward compatible Series X game to Xbox One. There no version with Xbox One label.Doremon764 (talk) 22:05, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not following what you're saying. Sergecross73 msg me 22:54, 9 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I think what they're trying to say is that there's only an Xbox One version that features extra enhancements when running on Series X/S? Maybe? I could be wrong. -- Cyberlink420 (talk)
Similar to Sonic Colors I couldn't add Xbox Series X since it was an Xbox One game that mentions Xbox series X compatibility on the box. Also company marketed as newest console. This version of All Star Brawl is in the opposite camp. (None of the game boxes say Xbox One. They show version for PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and Xbox Series X (which contains Xbox One through backwards compatible).Doremon764 (talk) 01:33, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, it's an Xbox One game that is optimized for Series X|S. That's why it's on this list. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 02:15, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't make any sense. You can "backwards" compatibility in the opposite direction. Neither the term nor the hardware works like that. Sergecross73 msg me 03:32, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Forward Compatible[1] Doremon764 (talk) 04:23, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Xbox One games are 100% compatible with Xbox series X and some Xbox series X games can be played on the Xbox One. That why the label either says "Xbox One • Xbox Series X" or "Xbox Series X • Xbox One." Doremon764 (talk) 04:37, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
No, there are no Xbox Series X games playable on Xbox One. Only the other way around. Some game releases contain both an Xbox One version and an Xbox Series X/S version, and which one you play depends on the system. Others are just Xbox One games that have special enhancements when played on Series X/S. This game falls into this category. Ergo, both XBox One and Xbox Series X/S. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 04:50, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I'm familiar with the different term of "forward compatibility", but XBX is not FC with XOne. Sergecross73 msg me 12:31, 10 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I would like to add under the release date of "October 5, 2021" to have it say "October 15, 2021 (Canada)", as that is when it is getting released in Canada. Here is a reference link to a page with the appropriate Canadian release date on Amazon Canada, and a link to the Walmart Canada page that also lists it as releasing on October 15, 2021: https://www.amazon.ca/Nickelodeon-All-Star-Brawl-Nintendo-Switch/dp/B099SGG5HT/ref=mp_s_a_1_1?crid=MTL2HNMYGN6E&dchild=1&keywords=nickelodeon+all+star+brawl&qid=1634223071&sprefix=ni&sr=8-1

Not done: please provide reliable sources that support the change you want to be made. Order and ship dates from retailers are not reliable sources. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 15:06, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Also, we don't track the release dates for every country anyways, just a couple of the major regions of the industry. Sergecross73 msg me 16:03, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Besides, the digital version game out in Canada on the same day as every other region, so we wouldn't change the date anyway; it's just the physical release that's a little delayed. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 16:37, 14 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Removed Jenny line[edit]

I continue to argue that there is nothing notable about the removal of the single line of dialogue from Jenny's arcade mode. It's not an offensive line on its own, and there was no widespread outcry or controversy; a few people compared it to an obscure thing, and the devs removed it as a result. It's that simple. Furthermore, there are not "dozens" of sources. I went looking, and the two Zucat posted are literally the only news sites I found that even mentioned it. And considering Bounding Into Comics is not on the list of approved sources and has been called into question as a source before for being a blog with little to no editorial oversight, the only usable source of the two is TheGamer. That's not enough to justify the inclusion of what is ultimately a minor footnote at best. -- Cyberlink420 (talk) 17:24, 3 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

And "TheGamer" is really just on the fringe of being usable too. It's generally not considered a good sign if they're the only usable sources reporting on something. I'm also against inclusion, but if it was included, it certainly doesn't needs its own section, per WP:CSECTION and it generally just being a very minor thing. GameMill article?[edit]

Considering how many GameMill Entertainment games have individual articles, and how controversial they all seem to be, is it necessary to create a GameMill article? Just wondering. FerDeLancer (talk) 19:47, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
