This page is still somewhat a work in progress. I shall come back after class today to tighten up the finishing bits, such as polishing the intro, solidifying the links and separations between this and Japantown, etc.
More shall be added to the article on other communities in the near future. Thanks. LordAmeth 23:37, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I have now added more or less all I am going to. If anyone can expand upon the Japanese communities in Manila, Phnom Penh or elsewhere, or upon various more domestic/local aspects of life in the Nihonmachi in Siam and Vietnam, or any other aspect of the topic, please do. LordAmeth 14:51, 4 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I propose the merger of Nihonmachi and Japantown, as the same topic, with a great deal of overlap and continuity between them. I am not married to either name, I just think they would be better as a single inclusive article. Chris 16:07, 1 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Nihonmachi should be merged with Japantown. Japantown is more used. There is no reason why Nihonmachi should has its own article. THROUGH FIREJUSTICE IS SERVED! 00:24, 8 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with suggested merger. Furthermore, as "Nihonmachi" translates to Japantown, I think the latter should serve as the article title. Boneyard90 (talk) 03:48, 12 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
