Opening paragraph reads like an advert[edit]

Lead is far too opinion based: "the most renowned and beloved", "outstanding vocal ability", "managed to capture the essence of the Greek psyche, ethos and demeanor", "His remarkable artistic charisma, his appealing physical features (which were also reminiscent of Byzantine Iconography)", "enormous personal affability ("noble in both countenance and decorum" as per the Ancient Greek Ideal)", "onstage presence that Greek urban audiences always deemed majestic, inspiring and dignified", "his contribution is universally recognized among his fellow musicians" etc etc.

Reads like this is a fanpage rather than an encyclopedia

Worth noting that neither of the two sources for the opening paragraph mention anything to do with "his appealing physical features (which were also reminiscent of Byzantine Iconography)". This page is written by a adoring fan

Worst change happened here: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikos_Xilouris&diff=1093923693&oldid=1087943255 by user 2a02:85f:f8ef:6d00:f977:7a59:94b:f2a0.

User later removed the "fan POV" warning back in 2022 https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Nikos_Xilouris&diff=1094075603&oldid=1094075200 , I think incorrectly

I think their changes should be reverted as this article has lots of issues. I'm new to editing wikipedia so will wait for second opinion before reverting anything myself (partially because I have no idea how to revert) Bugghost (talk) 14:45, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decided to be WP:BOLD and add the fanpov, peacock and weasel issues back to the page rather than wait around Bugghost (talk) 14:59, 19 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]
