Would anyone object to an infobox as in Wikipedia:WikiProject_Tea to be placed or would that intefere with the image, not sure how to proceed. --Iateasquirrel 08:15, 12 July 2005 (UTC)[reply]

No replies = Infobox placed. I hope it's not bad that I used a non-tea image in the Infobox. Still listed under No images as it needs a proper image! --Iateasquirrel 01:55, 18 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]
Looks good to me. Some one has uploaded an image of the tea and the region, so it should be off the No image list by now D A Patriarche (talk) 03:04, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Suggestions for Improvement[edit]

  • description of taste in 1st para - expand to more specific & descriptive terms linked to good ref. E.g., "is generally described as" is weasel, and "dark, intensely aromatic, fragrant and flavoured" could equally describe Darjeeling and some Assams. The Darjeeling page is a good example. BTW, I am fortunate to have some Nilgiri FOP "Chamraj", presumably from Chamarajanagar. It is somewhere between Assam and Darjeeling, tending toward Assam; the dry leaves smell surprisingly like Keemun and both the leaves and tea resemble top-grade Kenyan. I will do some research to find a suitable cite when I find time but feel free to preempt me! D A Patriarche (talk) 03:30, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Broken Link[edit]

Wiki-link "United Planters Association of South India" is a dead or obsolete link. Either create a page for UPASI or change to an external link. D A Patriarche (talk) 04:17, 3 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Botany[edit]

Hi. I am curious if Nilgiri tea is also a Camellia sinensis var. assamica? I suspect all tea grown in India to be var. assamica? RhinoMind (talk) 03:19, 27 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]
