Untitled[edit]

I'm a little unclear as to why this article states that Amroth was the "last Silvan Elf Lord of Lórien". According to Amroth, he was Sindarin. (We could say "last Sindarin Lord of Lórien", working under the understanding that Celeborn, in the final analysis, is considered Telerin, but this might be somewhat confusing.) -Aranel ("Sarah") 23:26, 29 August 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Aye, but wasn't Amroth also king of Lórien? So that he would be the last Sindarin King in it (or the first even) might be more accurate. And since there are versions of there Celeborn and Galadriel-story, that Amroth is their son (unlikely), it seems even stranger that a father should succeed his soon as Lord. Source[edit]

Does anyone know from which source the information about the elf-maiden who bore two halfelven sons that became the Princes of dol Amroth? --- Hackeru

The source is most likely the Silmarillion. I am not sure though.--Randalllin 03:10, 1 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Af, found it, even thougn it appears to be "tradition" by the Dol Amrathians to say that they have an elf-maiden as ancestor, even though it is highly doubted (Tolkien did write that there were only three unions). Hackeru —Preceding comment was added at 10:29, 22 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Merge this article with Minor places in Middle-earth?[edit]

See above title. Consider. Nimrodel seems to not be featured to much and could be consider a minor place. We can kill two birds with one edit by adding to above said article and pulling strings of wikiproject tighter. I have already written a short entry on the above said article and will leave it at that until greater consensus.Randalllin 05:44, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
