Proposal for deletion[edit]

In response to proposal for deletion re: sources, I have added references to The Telegraph, The Times, The FT, Drapers, The Mirror and other British media. Happy to discuss and see where the line lies, but I think Passi falls on the side of notability. ScepticalChymist (talk) 13:09, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notability[edit]

Reverted deletion, and argument made for notability on the basis of Passi's profile / reputation in fashion. Follows from point 3 of WP:BIO, ie, "The person has made a widely recognized contribution that is part of the enduring historical record in his or her specific field." I think there is a strong argument that Passi qualifies for this under impact / contributions to UK fashion. Willing to be educated though, and look forward to the discussion. There is currently no evidence in the article of any such "widely recognised contribution" in fashion. I have AfD'ed the article, but of course if you add good references in support of WP:NBIO#3, I will consider withdrawing. — kashmīrī TALK 21:01, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks kashmiri, I'll test other editors' opinions on this. Drapers puts him at No. 10 most influential person in UK fashion -- above Mike Ashley, Philip Green, amongst others. Of course, not all the people on Drapers list qualify, but he is also the founder and 100pc owner of the company, worth £250 million according to The Sunday Times. Seems difficult to me to say he isn't notable. Reference: https://www.drapersonline.com/people/drapers-top-100-2017 ScepticalChymist (talk) 21:22, 13 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

First article[edit]

Hi team, working my way through the addition of fashion entrepreneurs that currently do not have their own profiles, using The Rich List as a source reference. Highly visible company, which has its own Wiki presence. Let me know if I have missed anything. ScepticalChymist (talk) 17:29, 12 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]
