The No.6 Records page should not be deleted, as No.6 was an influential American indie-rock label of the 90's. In 1990, they released the bestselling Neil Young tribute album "The Bridge" which featured tracks from Sonic Youth, Nick Cave, Soul Asylum, and Pixies (all bands that would go on to greater success). The compilation was also given major coverage by Rolling Stone Magazine and Alternative Press at the time, and created the template for the modern cover song album, in which hip indie bands cover the music of old-timers. "The Bridge" was the record that made Neil Young relevant again and introduced him to a whole new (grunge) generation of fans. Neil Young himself has publicly credited this release with his career resurgence in the 90's and beyond. In addition, No.6 Records released the first recordings by such bands as Luna and Nada Surf (both of which went on to critical acclaim and major label deals) as well as seminal recordings by underground bands and artists like The Dwarves, Tindersticks, Charles Douglas, Unrest, and Vegetarian Meat. And that's not all: due to the label's "hip quotient," several popular bands recorded limited-edition experimental EPs for it, including Mercury Rev (under the name "Harmony Rocket") and The Afghan Whigs (under the name "The Ornament"). Certain vinyl records released by No.6 routinely fetch considerable amounts of money due to their collectors appeal. The label has a cult following both in America and in the UK, and its founder, Terry Tolkin, was a noted A&R representative for 99 Records, Caroline Records, and Elektra Records. So for these historical reasons, I think the page should remain, as a resource for those interested in the label and for those who collect the records it released during its decade of existence.
