\\ GA review \\ by Pedro A small one this time! Shouldn't take much time.

Prose[edit]

Lead
  • "talking about Lorde celebrating an infatuation" → "in which Lorde discusses an infatuation" (the verb celebrate is copied from a source used in Composition)
  • "lyrical theme" (the composition section doesn't state this... it just says that the musical
  • "and picked it as one of the standouts from the extended version of the album." → break the sentence. "Most journalists picked it as a standout from the album's repackaging/reissue"
  • Done
Background
  • Can you cite the liner notes to the expanded edition rather than a database? Sometimes they're incorrect. If the reissue wasn't in physical form, cite the digital download notes (the Composer iTunes parameter)
  • The extended version don't have the notes
  • My download of NB has the writers, but that's it. Adabow (talk) 02:13, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • The database is OK, then. — prism 17:58, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • If it was given for free, isn't it a promotional single?
  • After being freely downloaded within 12 X'mas days, it was made available for sales
Composition and critical reception
  • "an synthpop" (typo)
  • "The song has similar musical style to other songs from Pure Heroine: it features Lorde's "feathery" vocal delivery and minimal production." → The song has a similar sonority to that of other songs from Pure Heroine, featuring Lorde's "feathery" vocals and minimal production.
  • "pulsing synthesizer" → "a pulsing synthesizer"
  • Change "synthesizer" to plural form
  • "making the song's melody "dreamy"" (according to whom?)
  • celebrates → celebrating
  • "Go all the way/" (add a space between 'y' and the bar)
  • There you go
References
  • Slant shouldn't be italicized; it isn't published media.
  • Nah, it's Slate, not Slant, and it is published. Simon (talk) 01:51, 18 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
  • Still... Slate, just like Slant, is an online magazine. Not printed. — prism 17:58, 18 June 2014 (UTC) (I did it already)[reply]
