Untitled[edit]

The but last paragraph ("Alex lets his brother die in peace and with dignity [...] MacLeod wants the reader to realize that "all of us are better when we're loved"") contains interpretations over what is written in the novel. As winner of the International IMPAC Dublin Literary Award I've rated this book as of Top importance. If that's not enough, The Globe and Mail was prompted to declare that Alistair MacLeod is Canada's greatest living writer when they reviewed this novel.--Ibis3 16:12, 24 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Book photo[edit]

Small point: the article correctly identifies the first edition as the Toronto: M&S edition, but the photo is of the first US edition. This really needs to be corrected Susie Brooke (talk) 16:44, 19 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
