Parking spot/driveway[edit]

Some thirty NYC-based publications posted about this ongoing incident: https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-wealthy-curb-cutting-resident-20190709-bxtufzgiofeyhg6s2k72he6nge-story.html - Mainly 19:25, 10 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

I added a line. I believe that there is also some other negative news not reflected in this article. Coretheapple (talk) 12:57, 11 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Edit request 9-22-2023[edit]

2nd attempt. I thought it was clear that I was declaring a conflict of interest, but I'll make it more specific. I have a conflict of interest as an acquaintance of the subject, and being somewhat familiar with Wikipedia I'm trying to help. I'd like to request an update to this article, in adherence to community guidelines about avoiding conflicts of interest. I'd like to request that the article be updated to indicate that the curb cut mentioned in the personal life section was indeed approved by the NY Department of Buildings, per the updated Vanity Fair article. The headline is of course no longer accurate, but that only illustrates how this is designed to outrage readers, and to not be completely truthful. In lieu of removal of this trivial non-issue, per WP:INDISCRIMINATE, the below information could wrap up this minor incident as far as the article is concerned.

In July 2019, Gottesman was accused of illegally carving out a personal driveway in front of his Greenwich Village townhouse.[1] The accusations were first reported on the front page of the New York Daily News.[2] The New York Department of Buildings later issued a statement acknowledging that there was a pre-existing curb cut and loading dock at the building before it was converted into a home, and that Grossman had received plan approval in 2011 to keep the curb cut and a fold-up garage door.[2]
