This is not exactly the first Nokia fone with touch screen. It is the first Nokia S60 fone that uses touch screen.

The first paragraph reads like an advertisement Vkojouharov (talk) 20:02, 8 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It does support 32GB cards. Read the linked review. Just that 16 GB is the official max atm. http://www.mobile-review.com/review/nokia-5800-2-en.shtml Kem!kal (talk) 22:59, 18 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

nice phone —Preceding unsigned comment added by 196.1.228.37 (talk) 20:17, 20 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I just wish Nokia wouldn't be so secretive about the release dates. I really do want this phone, but all I know is it's heading to the States in 2009 and it may not even be with my carrier.Mattlittlej (talk) 04:56, 22 October 2008 (UTC)[reply]

in Avilability section are still some future expressions to correct "The phone will be available Q4 2008 in Finland (...) The phone will miss Christmas sales (...)" So is it avilable? I don't know Mateuszzz88 (talk) 22:37, 3 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Shouldn't the article title be Nokia 5800 XpressMusic?[edit]

Because after all, that's the full name of the phone. Jupter-manzana (talk) 08:16, 3 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Ok, I moved the article, hope nobody minds.

Tube[edit]

Should we really be using a products' internal codename in it's article? Kinda unprofessional, isn't it? Jupter-manzana (talk) 08:39, 3 January 2009 (UTC) This phone should be released in February in the states through AT&T go to symbian freak for symbian related info. 15 January 2009 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Amend1124 (talkcontribs) 23:53, 15 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Keyboard and screen[edit]

Can one use this Nokia to connect an external (i.e. flexible keyboard ?(i.e. using the USB port). And to connect it to the TV (using what the video-out jack in the phone ) ? Which type is the video-out jack ?.

Yes, but only through Bluetooth, and video out is composite with stereo RCA. --118.90.138.120 (talk) 09:29, 31 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

induction display[edit]

Inductivity measurement is with capacitive measurement one possibility to measure the presents or position of an object. However, they can just measure objects that are changing the electromagnetic field which means, that they have to conduct electricity like metal. (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inductive_sensor). While there are now capacitive buttons/sensors for interacting with humans for about 30 years, I have never heard about a inductive sensor for a human interface. (Imagin - That's how the security gate on the airports works - and would it make sense, if humans would trigger it?)

I think if someone else agrees with me, he should delete that nonsense from the page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.186.101.122 (talk) 23:04, 7 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Camera Details[edit]

I did some calculations, Nokia 5800 has 43.23 degrees of horizontal FOV equivalence of 46.81mm in 35mm terms.

Extending calculation and grabing EXIF tag information, sensor has a size of 2.85x2.13mm (4:3) with 6.07mm (or 0.24 inches), this information is an aproximation.

Mature market[edit]

Russia, HK, UAE and some other of initial countries usually considered most developed mobile markets by mobile penetration and handset sales, especially Russia (particularly Moscow market, hence 5800 and 5530 both hit the Nokia Central Flagship Store in Moscow on November 24 2008 and August 4 2009 respectively), so i would omit the word mature. TERRIBLE IMAGES USED[edit]

Unfortunately terrible photos/images are used in mobile phone devices' article pages, why not use more sophesticated and professional photos? Thare are tons of high quality artistic images available with free licence on Nokia Press website. it will cause Wikipedia look more sleek and stylish. اپسیلون (talk) , 28 November 2010 —Preceding undated comment added 22:48, 27 November 2010 (UTC).[reply]
