A few notes[edit]

Thanks for creating this one, the work's really appreciated! I've only had time tonight to make a quick pass of the article, but here's a few quick observations/suggestions:

  • The article seems to be very well-sourced overall, with inline references for almost all claims--nice work on that.
  • "Under Article 91 of Cuba's Criminal Code, Hernández was sentenced to 25 years for writing about the poor quality of government services and for criticizing the state's management of tourism, agriculture, fishing, and other industries." -- as information about criminal charges against a living person, this needs to be sourced with an inline reference per WP:BLP
  • The article seems to me a little WP:POV in some spots. It's usually better to write "government" than "regime", for example, regardless of the govt. in question. "but Spanish officials refused to let him go, purportedly because of his “International Protection in Spain” and “Political Asylum” status, but really, in his view, because the Spanish government was serving as an “accomplice to the totalitarian government of the Castro brothers.”" -- adding purportedly to the Spanish version and not Hernandez's view (even if attributed) doesn't appear to give them equal weight.
  • "During his incarceration, he spent long periods in solitary confinement and was subject to beatings and torture." -- the "beatings" seems to be sourced only PEN reporting that his wife said she was told this, which is pretty weak. I'd suggest adding an "allegedly" to this unless we have a secondary RS stating flatly that the beatings took place. I didn't see at a glance where it said he was tortured (beyond the beatings, but "beatings and torture" implies there was additional torture).
  • This may be a necessity due to lack of coverage, but the article is very short on statements by those who disagree with NHG, like the Spanish govt. or the Cuban govt.

Hope this helps--these are only impressions based on a speed-read, so feel free to disregard anything I've said above. And again, thanks for the article, and keep up the good work! -- Khazar2 (talk) 01:29, 7 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
