Proposed split[edit]

10 miles of North Carolina Highway 42 will be renumbered as North Carolina Highway 36 according to this article. This means a separate article on the renumbering will may become necessary. It is not clear what the connection between the two old sections of NC 36 are with NC 213 but I think any previous NC 36 should be a part of that article.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:12, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Draft article here.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 21:00, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I support the consolidation of former NC 36 routes onto one page, following any new NC 36 establishment. --WashuOtaku (talk) 23:23, 24 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
How do you feel bout the disambiguation page I created as a temporary solution?— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 16:03, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Unnecessary. We do not need to take any action for a "proposal," just like we do not create new articles for interstates that have not been established yet. --WashuOtaku (talk) 18:21, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
What do you recommend, then? If someone heard about the new Highway 36 and wanted to know more, there's not a convenient place to put a hatnote.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 19:22, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I wrote a one sentence thing about NC 36 on NC 42 History section with refernence, because that is all we know for now. --WashuOtaku (talk) 21:09, 25 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Should have waited on your recommendation. I guess anyone who knows also knows it's NC 42 now.— Vchimpanzee • talk • contributions • 20:01, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. You are either now ahead of the curve or we remove it later. --WashuOtaku (talk) 22:54, 26 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
