Inaccuracies with current Article[edit]

There are several issues with this article now, it is somewhat out of date and missing information. Suggest the following updates/corrections;

  • Logo needs changing as this is no longer NEAM, it is NELSAM, see image:
  • Website is HTTPS not HTTP
  • reference 1 to MVM needs updating as this page no longer exists, should be https://www.nelsam.org.uk/Exhibits/#history
  • also should include that North Eastern Elecrical Traction trust (NEETT) moved trams and buses to the site in April 2013 (same reference as above)
  • the aircraft and other items needs updating as several items have moved and been added, including several new military vehicles, see https://www.nelsam.org.uk/Exhibits/ and https://www.nelsam.org.uk/News/ . The trams (NEETT) and fire engines should be there too
  • See also list would benefit from having a link to 'list of transport museums' and maybe military museums too.

The section on vandalism has no place or relevance to the article.

The actions happened before the North East Land, Sea and Air Museum was formed and this article should reflect the current status and accurate past Thunderbird167 (talk) 15:50, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for bringing this here. Let me review each item individually and I'll indicate what is done back here. - Ahunt (talk) 15:44, 21 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Adam thanks for your consideration. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thunderbird167 (talkcontribs)

Okay here are my actions on each item:
  • Logo needs changing as this is no longer NEAM, it is NELSAM, see image:
Done previous logo has been retained in the article for historical reasons. I also fixed the licensing in the new logo, which is not copyright-able as it is only lettering.
  • Website is HTTPS not HTTP  Done
  • reference 1 to MVM needs updating as this page no longer exists, should be https://www.nelsam.org.uk/Exhibits/#history -  Done, but I have repaired the broken link with archive.org instead
  • also should include that North Eastern Elecrical Traction trust (NEETT) moved trams and buses to the site in April 2013 (same reference as above)  Done - I have written a whole new history section based on your ref above that incorporates the complete organizational history, less the individual aircraft acquisitions and trades.
  • the aircraft and other items needs updating as several items have moved and been added, including several new military vehicles, see https://www.nelsam.org.uk/Exhibits/ and https://www.nelsam.org.uk/News/ . The trams (NEETT) and fire engines should be there too. -  Done, including making as many red links blue as possible.
  • See also list would benefit from having a link to 'list of transport museums' and maybe military museums too. Done I have added List of transport museums, but we do not have a List of military museums
  • The section on vandalism has no place or relevance to the article. - I have incorporated into into the new larger history section, as your own website history includes it.

Thanks for all the work done on this; if anything further required we will add on here. JPalls (talk) 06:32, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Exhibit list[edit]

The Dh Dove and the Viscount are no longer at the museum and need to be removed from the list

A new exhibit is the Slingsby T3 Thunderbird167 (talk) 06:45, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Removals  Done, but neither the list of exhibits or the news page mention any Slingsby T3. Is there a ref for that? - Ahunt (talk) 12:39, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Slinsby TX3 http://www.demobbed.org.uk/aircraft.php?type=298 Actually WT913 with wings of WT917. Photograph taken at NELSAM — Preceding unsigned comment added by Thunderbird167 (talkcontribs)

Done, but we could really use a better ref than that. Perhaps you can ask the museum webmaster to add it to the museum exhibits list, since it has been there since last August? - Ahunt (talk) 15:49, 22 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

This has been added to the website exhibit list above now. JPalls (talk) 06:29, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Super, thanks for getting that added! - Ahunt (talk) 11:49, 23 April 2020 (UTC)[reply]
