Moved North End (ward) to North End, Bexley: North End is quite a common name, there may other wards named this anywhere in the world such as the identically named ward in Hammersmith and Fulham . Chose Bexley to London to distinguish from North End, Croydon, and North End, Hammersmith and Fulham.

This is a ward[edit]

The entire area talked about here is simply a political division of the Borough of Bexley. It only exists on the ward map, and the article itself shows how many part of "real" places are involved! Why do we need it? Peter Shearan (talk) 16:50, 29 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I think we need it because press and politicians locally (and occasionally nationally) refer to 'North End', although local people rarely use it except when talking to authorities of one sort or another (e.g. Slade Green Forum meeting 4th December, had to point out to potential sponsor of a new Secondary school that the problem of access to places affected the whole of North End ward and not just Slade Green). So someone might search for this. My only question now is whether, having changed the article title to exclude 'ward', the title should now be the correct historic name 'Northend' rather than 'North End'. Given the title change, will re-order things so the hamlet is mentioned earlier.Sladegreenforum (talk) 10:08, 9 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
