I appreciate the desire to improve the article, but there is no need to WP:REFBOMB it. Add references when they cover information not covered by existing references; replace references when we have one that better fits the reliable source guidelines.
I have to question the "Important alumni" listing; it comes across as practically "anyone we could find mentioned as an alumnus anywhere on the Internet" listing, and even at that it's not exactly impressive. Also, looking back at the deletion discussion, I'm not sure that any of the references that were added address the WP:NOTABILITY concern raised there, so I'm tagging this article for notability. --Nat Gertler (talk) 14:58, 9 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Problematic recent edits[edit]

There have been a recent batch of edits that seem well-intentioned but are nonetheless problematic:

  • The claim that the Florida school is the same as the North Tennessee school has no reliable source. We see the Florida school making the claim, but they are not a reliable source, much like I would not be a reliable source for claiming that I am to be the heir to the Bill Gates fortune, although Bill himself would be. The North Tennessee website is currently dead. I find no reliable third-party source making the claim.
  • The removal of the notability tag. Nothing that was added established notability.
  • The apparent copying of the school's missing statement is both a copyright violation and goes against WP:MISSION, which indicates that mission statements are poor ways of describing organizations.

Still in existence?[edit]

Did this institution survive its relocation from the MLK Bvld. campus? The website is offline and some of the links are dead. No institution of higher education can survive now without a functioning website, which leads me to feel that it is essentially defunct even if no one is saying so officially. 2600:1004:B15E:5998:4934:AC50:275B:2742 (talk) 01:06, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Another institution popped up, with notes that it was a continuation of NTBI. However, the Florida Bible Institute and Seminary's website is now saying that it is no longer accepting applications for new students. --Nat Gertler (talk) 01:40, 28 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]
