Kent[edit]

Would be interesting to find out how long the association with Kent goes back. Morwen - Talk 15:57, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Perhaps at least to the start of the Woolwich Ferry (14th Century) ? MRSC 16:37, 10 October 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Untitled[edit]

""Conversely, the area of the eastern part that lies north of the docks – an area of employment land, infrastructure facilities and post-industrial dereliction, with very few residents – is more usually seen as being part of Beckton, an area that has never had any formal definition" - what is "employment land"? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 31.109.101.165 (talk) 18:50, 22 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Lead paragraph[edit]

I've reverted the article back to the last stable version from March this year so that the current issues with the lead paragraph can be discussed - I don't think anything vital got reverted at the same time. Here strikes me as a half-decent place to have that discussion, unless someone tells me it's occurring elsewhere.

I have significant concerns about the OLINKs added in recently - we have no need to link either London or England per WP:OLINK. I also feel the pipe of East London applied just to east is a little misleading - not the worst I've seen. And then there's the whole "it used to be/no it is/no it used to be/is/used" bunfight. So, lats stable version and discuss from there... Blue Square Thing (talk) 17:24, 29 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
