Does this meet the notability requirements of Wikipedia? Please comment. Thanks Dubc0724 20:50, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Let it stay, AAR and Nova M may eventually become one and the same. At that point we can merge the articles and redirect the links to the one corporate page. As for notability requirements, there are articles of far less note on wikipedia so I don't see any reason to remove it. Someone took the time to write the article, which is actually pretty well written and NPOV for what seems like a first draft (judging by the lack of "Talk" and age of the last entry); we should appreciate that effort.Vinnievesh 06:09, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
With their current efforts as a startup radio network, I do believe Nova M will become even more noteworthy in the months to come. I do believe they are notable. I wrote the original article, though it is in dire need of updating. --Fightingirish 15:30, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Compare this with the discussion of Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Genesis_Communications_Network. The rationale for deletion seemed to center around the number of affiliates, lack of notability of its hosts (Barry Lynn is probably more notable than any host on Nova M), and lack of web site traffic. Wikipedia is not a crystal ball - potential of future notability doesn't make an article's subject notable.StreamingRadioGuide 20:29, 28 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
When the above was written, NovaM (OST's precursor) had Randi Rhodes on board, who has appeared on the cover of Talkers Magazine, and been highly rated by them. Huw Powell (talk) 01:19, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If the article were specifically about OST, it would arguably not be notable. But the article is about both Nova M and OST as its successor. Nova M/OST may not be Air America, but it was certainly a notable company. It had dozens of affiliates, two notable progressive talk radio hosts (anyone arguing Mike Malloy is not notable is either totally unfamiliar with progressive talk radio or biased against it), and was in business for over two years. Nova M/OST were unquestionably significant in the history of American progressive talk radio, and deserve to be acknowledged on Wikipedia. Fun3tubs (talk) 19:27, 3 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]
