article on general meaning of 'novelty' missing[edit]

the disambiguation page states that "Novelty is the quality of being new. Although it may be said to have an objective dimension (e.g. a new style of art coming into being, such as abstract art or impressionism) it essentially exists in the subjective perceptions of individuals." This should form a proper article on the phenomenon of novelty, as well as the statements on subjectivity etc. should be critically reviewed. 134.95.82.88 12:22, 23 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree. It is odd in this disambiguation list that we nowhere direct the reader to the primary sense of Novelty: the subject of "Newness". Newness for example is a redirect to Age. I am not sure that we need a new article. Emergence discusses many aspects of the phenomenon of novelty, although incompletely. Perhaps others might have a better suggestion. -J JMesserly (talk) 18:17, 28 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
