Rewording attempt[edit]

I attempted to put some more section in those article, telling the events in a more chronological way and putting some more link to the Weapon Plus project. I've only to ask for some more help... --DrTofu83 13:53, 20 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Wolvieoriginshitch.jpg[edit]

Image:Wolvieoriginshitch.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Thunderbolts?[edit]

On the Marvel solicitations, the figure with the hockey mask has two images of the Scourge of the Underworld in the background so I doubt it is Nuke. Can someone please get some follow up on that. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Timmyfitz161 (talkcontribs) 21:56, 17 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

i dont understand....[edit]

i have multiple questions. is this guy a patriot, or anti american? if he's a patriot, why is he a supervillian? i suppose part of it is that i, being patriotic myself, find it hard to comprehend a patriotic villain, but more so is that marvels always had a history of backing the government, and the states in general.if he's anti american, why does he have a tattoo of the flag on his face? kmmnderkoala 13:58, 14 January 2012 (UTC)

Show me the connection[edit]

...between the comic book character and the character portrayed in Jessica Jones. This needs to be explicit, without any sort of ambiguity (in order to avoid the problem of Original Research). I've looked at the reference, and nowhere does the actor refer to Nuke by name. In order for us to connect it, we need a reference that does precisely that. I've held off on reverting it, because it might be in everyone's best interest to get out in from of what is clearly going to become a problem otherwise with the JJ series sub-articles. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 05:14, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Actor does not state it, but based on his IGN interview, IGN (a reliable source) stated it is Nuke. The info passes WP:V, as does this CBR interview. We don't need it from "the horse's mouth", just a reliable source stating such. And the series further confirms the character is the MCU's version of Nuke. Have you seen the series yet? I don't want to spell out how it confirms it if you've seen it, but I can if you haven't. Also notifying @Adamstom.97: for their thoughts. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 06:35, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I completely agree with Favre. Traval has blatantly connected the characters, just without specifically saying their first names. IGN (again, a reliable source) took note of this, as we did, and gave us an article stating what we need to make the connection here. And if there were any lingering doubts, the series itself makes it very clear (even more clear than I ever thought it would) that these are definitely the same character. - adamstom97 (talk) 06:38, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Here is another good example of a reliable source connecting the two characters. - adamstom97 (talk) 06:49, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
For references, I've transcribed his interview with IGN: "People may recognize him from the comics. His last name is Simpson and that might give you an indication. He comes from the period in the 70s where they had the post-Vietnam War psycho soldiers, he comes from there, but we're reinventing him for the television series." No other character in the Marvel Universe has the last name of Simpson or involved in a Vietnam supersoldier program that made them psycho. And they literally hit the head on the nail in the series with the three pills (word for word the same purpose as from the comics if I believe) and a nod to the flag tattoo. If IGN had not connected the dots from the interview, then I whole heartedly agree with you Jack that this is OR. But they did, and paired with his actual quote, and the other material from CBR, it means that the MCU version of Nuke is Will Simpson, not Frank Simpson. And the Screenrant link Adam added is further sourcing to use if needed. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 06:57, 24 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
I would suggest that we use the Screenrant reference thoughtfully provided by Adamstom.97 as the primary source linking the two, as it is quite specific and explicit in connecting the two. The IGN review should be used to note how the actor chose to interpret the character, since there is video about the process. This seems the best way to avoid Sherlocking the two together. - Jack Sebastian (talk) 03:04, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Source added in the section and additionally at Jessica Jones. If you wish to reword anything, be my guest, but the source is there now. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 05:59, 25 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]
