Early life:[edit]

It says that Nurul Amin was born in undivided Bengal's Brahmanbaria district when in fact this district only came into existence in 1984. The correct name of his birthplace should be 'Comilla district' as it then was. Abul Bakhtiar (talk) 04:14, 25 August 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Good point! This has been fixed by an earlier contributor, and I also just changed it again to reflect that the district's name only changed to Comilla from Tippera in the 1960s. SameerKhan (talk) 23:48, 9 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Chief Minister:[edit]

This Section of the Article seems to repeat the first and second part and is contradictory too. If Nurul Amin was appointed Chief Minister of East Bengal by Jinnah, why should he need to be appointed again by Nazimuddin? Moreover, it is stated that he was a member of the Pakistan National (Federal) Assembly from 1947 to 1954. This Assembly had its seat in Karachi the then Capital of Pakistan and used to meet there during its sessions. Now, if Nurul Amin were the Chief Minister, the most important political office of East Bengal with its capital far away -- separated by at least 1000 miles of India -- in Dacca (spelling for that time), for most of this period it would not have been possible for him to also serve as a member of that Assembly. He would have been able to hold only one of these posts. Regardless of the sources used for this Section, it needs verification and complete rewriting.
