Information from Munchers article[edit]

The Munchers article had some material that looked like it belonged on this page, so I moved it. It was originally put there by Wtshymanski. —Vectornaut (talk) 23:06, 7 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

example in pop culture[edit]

"Dad's going-to kill you." - Avatar, the Last Airbender television series. Azula speaking to Zuko. Mazerakham (talk) 14:30, 7 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

another example[edit]

As Alex Johnston has pointed out on Quora, We are the champions by Queen also quotes this melody and this can hardly be accidental. Rp (talk) 12:23, 12 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]

To add to article[edit]

Basic information to add to this article (which anyone visiting this article might expect to find here): the history/origin of this melodic phrase. 98.123.38.211 (talk) 02:09, 8 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Germany[edit]

In Germany I know several rhymes for this, but the Israeli form given in the article ("naana banana") reminds me of a rhyme used to taunt boys called "Arne", which goes: "Arne Banane, Butterbrot mit Sahne" (Arne banana, sandwich with cream). The similarity might be coincidental, but needn't be. I'm leaving it here for future reference. There are a couple of hits on the internet, but nothing to really attest it for wikipedia. 82.82.152.162 (talk) 20:19, 12 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
