Environmental Issues contradicts itself[edit]

The Environmental Issues section is self-contradictory: "Although it has not made an asbestos-containing materials since 1952" "Owens-Illinois ... manufactured ... asbestos containing thermal pipe insulation from 1956 through 1958" So, which is it? Stopped in 1952, or continued through 1958? Also, "AN asbestos-containing materialS" isn't right - a reword to singular or plural is needed. 152.51.56.1 (talk) 14:51, 17 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request edit[edit]

I am a brand manager at Owens-Illinois, and the company logo on the page is out of date. Owens-Illinois discontinued the use of the red and blue logo 2 years ago. We now use a single-colored grey logo, as seen at the top of the company website: http://www.o-i.com/

I am unable to upload the image, as my account is not confirmed. But here is a link to the correct logo: https://pbs.twimg.com/profile_images/378800000120074317/f21179837e2795430d11c9a0cad85801.jpeg

Please change it, or give me instructions and I will be happy to change it myself.

There was a key piece of company history that was not included in article. Please fix this.

Owens-Illinois is the result of a merger in 1929 between Owens Bottle Company (founded in 1903) and Illinois Glass Company. Source [2]

Unfortunately, we cannot take a source directly from the company website and use it as backup for an addition to the article. Per WP:RS, the information also has to be backed by secondary sources independent of the subject that have discussed the subject with the fact. Since no source was provided, I will decline this request. jd22292 (Jalen D. Folf) (talk) 03:23, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
