Sources for expansion[edit]

Also try searching for "throwing the O". Valfontis (talk) 17:44, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

And do we explain the connotations of "throwing"? P.S. COI declaration, I am an alumna of the UO. Valfontis (talk) 17:51, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Valfontis, is there a URL for the Lady Gaga article/image, or did you just see this in print or in a paywalled database? Just curious. (Also, I wish we had a better image to use of Joey Harrington...) ---Another Believer (Talk) 17:58, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I checked for a url but it doesn't seem to appear on the OQ online. I am a lifetime member of the UO Alumni Association and get the OQ magazine as a perk. I just happened to notice the photo this morning reading it on the bus. Offline sources are still sources, of course! I'm sure there are plenty of free images of O throwing on Flickr, but perhaps not by celebrities... Valfontis (talk) 19:09, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Don't get the wrong idea. I trust your source and am fine with offline references. I just wanted to see Gaga flashing signs. :p ---Another Believer (Talk) 19:21, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I could scan it for ya... Valfontis (talk) 20:22, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
No worries. I've seen plenty of Gaga shenanigans. I can't find a great (and appropriately-licensed) image at Flickr, of either Harrington or the O signal being used. If you come across one, feel free to share or use this tool for easy transfer to Commons. ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:25, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Never mind, Esprqii to the rescue! ---Another Believer (Talk) 20:26, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
That was hard to search for and find! Come on people, use the right CC licenses! --Esprqii (talk) 20:54, 25 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Photo problems[edit]

So can we get a "round O" photo for the lede instead? Just sayin'. Valfontis (talk) 16:23, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If we can find an "O" image, the spade-ish one could be moved down to the controversy section. ---Another Believer (Talk) 16:26, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, that bugs me too but I like the pic otherwise, the setting, focus on the sign, etc....This one is a little better. The general is full-on flashing the body part, but the woman on the right sort of has it correct. I'll try some more searches. --Esprqii (talk) 17:58, 26 November 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, that "Δ" looks more like a delta than an "O". Was this phot taken at the University of Δregon by mistake? Morganfitzp (talk) 03:16, 7 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
