Talk:Obligation of identification

This article is at odds with the French version, which suggests that many European countries have similar rules. At the very least, I know that carrying an ID is mandatory in Belgium and the Netherlands (so a more onerous requirement as in Germany where citizens should merely reveal their identity and present a document within a certain period of time but can't be fined merely for not carrying an ID card).
