Future plan[edit]

Unfortunately, this article is currently attacked by a revert warrior. So we have to protect Wikipedia from a desperate attempt to make it as unproductive as possible. But after that, we have many things to add, not to this article but to related articles: Amami festivals and observances, Miyako festivals and observances and Yaeyama festivals and observances.

Here is a short list of references you may find pretty useful:

You can find festivals and observances completely different from those in this article. Researchers have described festivals and observances on a per-island (group) basis. To my knowledge, there is no comparative study that attempts to deduce abstract, cross-island group elements from these raw materials, just like what Hokama Shuzen did to music. --Nanshu (talk) 03:55, 25 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, additions to articles that don't even exist. It would be more simple to add sections for individual islands. Reverting me is just as unproductive as me reverting you, have you thought of that?
