Copyright[edit]

Good day,

I added the page content as it is from the Facebook page as it sums up Oleseng's biography in detail. I have informed the owner of the content on Facebook about my intention to publish the biography on Wikipedia and permission was granted. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Aatsol2007 (talkcontribs) 28 March 2014

That's good, but saying so here won't achieve anything by itself. You need to go back to the notice I left on your talk page and follow the instructions that begin "If you believe that the article is not a copyright violation, or if you have permission from the copyright holder to release the content..."

Thank you, Aatsol2007, for adding information on this notable musician to Wikipedia, but, unfortunately, as User:Paul A says, we need to verify such permission. Beyond that, the language in the Facebook page really isn't appropriate for Wikipedia, although it's perfectly fine for Facebook. Our goal is to neutrally summarize what reliable sources say.
I have rewritten the article using some of the information from Facebook and also finding some news sources that discussed Shuping. I think the Facebook page is official, but if I'm wrong about that we will have to remove the information that came from it. Facebook is not generally a usable source on Wikipedia; it can only be used to add information when it is an official page. --Moonriddengirl (talk) 13:01, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
