Details appropriate for Wikipedia have already been retrieved.

Hence, no reason to retain this page.

OK, so it has survived PROD. At the very least, this page should be 'moved' to the existing redirect Oliver the Western Engine. However, it should be noted that the latter page was made into a redirect when the character information was merged into the grouped character pages as part of the WP:THOMAS character-rationalisation process, over two years ago.

Presumably, that still breaks copyright laws if it has been 'lifted' without sources etc. The fact that it is un-wikified gives that away. There's no need for this - that's what the TTTE Wiki is for (and why it was set up - remember all the image problems?!). Further discussion is at WT:THOMAS. (No dispute with any of your points except:) Interesting question. What if the person who wrote it at Wikia then posted it here - it's his copyright, isn't it? So can't he chose to copy it here (and effectively relinquish the copyright) ? EdJogg (talk) 00:51, 14 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Merge[edit]

It has been proposed that this article should be merged with Major characters in The Railway Series and Railway engines (Thomas and Friends), since Oliver is not one of the (major) characters identified by WP:THOMAS as being sufficiently notable to have his own character page. (See WP:THOMAS/FAQ)
