Addition of Genres[edit]

Deep House should categorically not be included. Oliver Heldens does not, and has never made any form of Deep House. In 2014 he's made all Future House and in 2013 he made Big Room. Even his "Heldeep" podcast doesn't feature Deep House music. As classified on Discogs , the genre has been edited to Deep House. Until the label chooses to accept the new genre, deep house should at a minimum remain as a main genre. ^[1] 129.241.125.242 (talk) 18:24, 19 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

@Nichirob:, I believe that he does produce bass house music under the alias "HI-LO" as well-referenced in the article. So I've added this genre to the infobox without removing deep house.

@Michge:, there was a comment inside an article stating to take things to the talkpage - these are added only when people have vandalised or edit-warred on a topic. Yes, even Oliver Heldens himself appreciates that his music does not categorically fit the label. But you can't remove it if there is a HTML comment next to it stating that you should discuss it at the talkpage.

I would like to invite your comment before we have a consensus on whether he produces "deep house". In future, please look out for  comments before editing. Though adding bass house to the infobox was a fair contribution, removing deep house despite the comment could have been a disruptive one. Speeditor talk 11:27, 25 October 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Seeing that the last comment on here is from October 25th of 2015 seems like no one is working on this page currently. In a recent article from Magnetic Magazine published on Mar 11, 2016 Kirk Williams asked "How would you describe the Oliver Heldens sound and style as simply and succinctly as possible" Oliver responds "I usually describe it as uplifting and groovy. I don't like to label it too much but if i have to I would describe my sound as a crossover between tech house, deep house and edm" this being said I am going to leave future house because in similar articles refer Oliver to future house and in addition techhouse, deephouse, and edm.^[2] JeffKobs (talk) 18:12, 24 April 2016 (UTC)[reply]
